IPC Unigy Support

Trading System Support Limited (TSS) was formed in 2013 with the aim of providing ongoing support for legacy voice trading solutions.

We quickly became a leading independent maintainer of legacy trading turret solutions. These included Etrali platforms that reached End of Life (EOL) following the acquisition of IPC Systems in 2016, as well as IPC Alliance, Etrali OpenTrade and, more recently, on-premises IPC Unigy solutions.

Extending the Life of Critical Trading Systems

TSS has secured global support contracts designed to extend the operational life of trading communication solutions. This gives customers greater control over when and how they upgrade their voice trading estate, while reducing the pressure to migrate before they are ready.

Working with TSS can enable customers to:

  1. Reduce support costs
Avoid the expense of replacing or upgrading critical systems prematurely while TSS manages ongoing support requirements.
  2. Sweat existing Trader Voice assets
Extend the operational life of systems already purchased. TSS has a proven track record of helping customers make the most of prior investments.
  3. Assess future technology requirements
Take the time to evaluate the trading platform and communication technology required for the future, including rapidly evolving AI-driven interfaces and solutions.
  4. Plan migration costs effectively
Fully assess the costs and requirements associated with migration, including data connectivity, recording and other supporting services.

Supporting the UK's Critical Trading Infrastructure

TSS has gone on to work with some of the largest OEMs and end-user organisations in the industry. We are now a major independent provider and maintainer of critical communication solutions within the UK.

Our experience across legacy and new trading environments gives customers access to specialist knowledge that can be difficult to find as older platforms become increasingly unsupported.

IPC Unigy On-Premises Support

One of the latest developments affecting legacy trading environments is the transition away from on-premises IPC Unigy solutions.

As IPC continues to develop its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, customers operating on-premises infrastructure may face increasing challenges around hardware, software, ongoing technical support and more importantly spiralling support and maintenance costs.

While the precise scope and timing of EOL arrangements can vary, certain components of on-premises environments, including server infrastructure, may already be identified as unsupported.

TSS has been engaged by a number of enterprise customers as a result of forecasted support costs increases. For organisations relying on on-premises trading infrastructure, this makes it increasingly important to understand the available options and plan ahead, while retaining full operational support of Trader Voice estates.

What Are Your Options?

If your organisation is currently operating an on-premises trading system, you may be considering whether to:

  • Continue supporting your existing platform
  • Extend the life of your current trading environment
  • Assess alternative support providers
  • Begin planning a migration to a new platform
  • Move towards a SaaS-based solution
  • Understand the associated costs of connectivity, recording and other services

TSS can help you assess your options and develop a support or migration strategy based on your individual requirements.
